Designs of Distinction can register a domain name for your business or personal use. We will issue you with a confirmation email listing the business name and most important of all YOU as the owner and us as the technical contact. This registration process is required before you are able to have a web site hosted in a business name. You Can Search here for the availability of a domain name.
The Registration Process begins with an application to the Australian Domain Name Administrator for approval. Business registrations require a current ABN or ACN number. For NSW businesses this means that the business must already be registered with the Department of Fair Trading in NSW to begin the process.
It Takes about 1 to 2 business business days to register the domain name normally. Once the name has been approved for issue a notice is forwarded to us detailing the registration particulars. You will also receive this notice. Please do not loose it. We will maintain a copy in such an event but it is a legal document that proves your ownership of a particular domain name.
A Domain Registration will cost $66.00 including GST. This includes the configuration of our web servers as well as setting up email accounts and activating spam filtering and virus checking. We also set up a user name and password for you to access your site via CPanel software.
