Thank you for visiting our FAQ page. View our list of questions and click on them to reveal the answers. If you have a question not covered here we would be happy to hear from you to discuss your individual needs. Just phone or email us with your enquiry.
Q 01: How long does it take to build a web site?
This is a difficult question to give an absolute answer. Most sites average build time is between two and six weeks depending on complexity, size and access to information need to put in the web site. We can create sites within a couple of days of acceptance of our quote where all the content is readily available and accessable by us.
Q 02: How do I view my sites progress?
After acceptance of our quote and payment of our deposit we will give you an access link to your construction pages. Here you will be able to view your sites progress and email or phone us with additonal information or changes that you would like throughout the construction of your site.
Q 03: How can I ask for changes during the web site building process?
It is common for clients to forward information by catagory, making it easier for you to supply us information. You will be able to email or phone us with additonal information or changes that you would like throughout the construction of your site.
Q 04: What do I need to do to have the web site started?
If we have a face to face meeting a verbal approval is all that is initially required to begin. An acceptance email, available on this web sites contact page can be completed and returned to us. A deposit is payable within 7 working days to continue the development of your site..
Q 05: What if I want changes to the site after it has been started?
We are happy to make changes as we go throught the construction or makeover stage. Some changes that affect multiple pages may incure additional fees and charges. We will advise you prior to any changes if any additional fees are payable.
Q 06: Why do we charge extra for some changes during construction and not others?
Changes to text on a page, including spelling, punctuation and grammer are easy. We do not charge for these types of changes. However for example if you wanted a change to a menu item by adding or removing an item and the site was 10 pages in size, this would incure a fee as each of the ten pages would have to change as well as removing or adding the additonal page. Also when a site is in advancing stages sometimes adding additional items no longer fit into the current design area and changes to the area code and surrounding code are required to effect the change. We will always advise you in advance if any change will incure an addional fee.
Q 07: Can I edit the site after it has been finished?
Yes, you can access your site via the Content Management System (CMS) at any time and make changes to your site. This will require you to know how to code in HTML and have access to a HTML editor to make the changes.
Q 08: What is the difference between a build, makeover or rebuild site?
A rebuild and new build site has little difference, in each case the site is built from scratch and in the case of a rebuild any exisiting code is disguarded effectivly having the same work load as a new site.
A makeover examins the existing site and makes small or subtle changes to the site without changing the main part of the sites code. This could typically involove replacing images, your logo or adding menu items and pages. This is a cheaper option than the first two but has limitations on what can be done under the cost of a makeover.
